We are looking for train drivers with freight experience in Värnamo!

ProTrain is a railway company that operates its own traffic and offers staffing services. About the position

This position is based in Värnamo and unlike our other positions, it does not have a compressed schedule. This means that you should live in Värnamo or within commuting distance, and the shifts can be scheduled both during the day and at night, with every other weekend off.

You will staff both a route where we operate electric locomotives (RC) and a route where we operate diesel locomotives (T43) and switch with radio.

A central part of the role is collaboration with planning staff, terminals, and in some cases, our customers. Therefore, you need to enjoy communicating and keeping relevant parties informed so that the entire logistics chain operates smoothly and efficiently.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a fully trained and certified train driver with a valid train driver's license and previous experience in freight traffic. The job requires that you are meticulous, independent, and have good communication skills – both internally and externally. As a train driver, you are often our representative on site, which makes customer focus and good collaboration important qualities.

Experience with RC locomotives is an advantage, as well as experience with diesel locomotives and radio switching.

Due to the short timeframe before startup, we unfortunately cannot accommodate newly graduated drivers. If you are newly graduated or lack experience in freight traffic, you are warmly welcome to submit an expression of interest, and we will gladly match you with other assignments that may be a better fit.
